2013- 2014

The year 2013 represents a lot for our Spanish Congregation. It is the year of many accomplishments and many challenges. We have learned many lessons and continue looking for the face of God.

Our congregation is a loving and sincere group of people. Every guest either member of the Church of not, feels the same warm welcome and transparent friendship Bammel offers. We are looking to grow in many areas. The rest of this year and 2014 we will do our best to pour into others.

The group focused the devotional on Christ and His Service.

The topic: One Another (How to work as a team).

A beautiful group filled with fun and loving people.

Luis is Monica's boyfriend. He started attending Bammel a month ago, but he has a baptist background. It was a very emotional moment to wittness their new beginning.

@ Bammel-

I had the privilege of working together with great people. As a team, work with deacons. Hector Salinas, Will Velasquez, Fermin Argueta. They are the support for the Spanish ministry. Bammel is blessed with their dedication.

Also, I been blessed with the privilege to work among very talented and creative people at office. Matt is a minister with a deep call from God. I'm honored to serve at the same body. The picture was taken at Mayor's Elementary School, where we were distributing information about Bammel.

National Ministers Conference at Bammel-

August 9, 10

The Bammel Church (Spanish Ministry) slogan is: "Alegria y Sencillez de Corazon" (With gladness and sincerity)- and this two characteristics permeates every event. The last conference was not the exception. Ministers from several cities around the United States participated in the event and they repeted the same word when asked to describe the event, excellence. The attedance, the athmosphere, the food, the classes, everything was made with joy and excellence.

The mision for our Spanish ministry is to serve as an example for the Churches of Christ. Since our comunitys has been limited by tradition, we as a body, want to contribute to the Church of Christ with a new spirit. The things we do, the way we do it and the purpose in doing it. Each event has that mision, influence trough the example, joy and excellence.

What's happening at Bammel?

The End of the Story-
July was a month of endings. Finally, after 31 weeks of Bible chronological study we "graduated" from The Story. This curriculum brougth many benefits to our congregation. A better undestanding of God's Word and a better view of Biblical events. Our Lifegroups, kids and the whole congregation we blessed with this program.

August and September will bring another interesting topic. At Bammel, we will be talking about the Holy Spirit. Every week a different lesson addressing His Persona, work and influence in the Church. Our prayer is that we know better our God and His will trought this study but also to understand His love in sharing His Spirit with us.

Fortified Marriages-
For about a year. A group of twelve couples received a special class on Sundays. The class was based on Marriage Skills and were tought by Paulina and I. We had a blast with this couples. Some of the lessons were taughted by them in specific topics that they choosed. This class ended on July. The next step is to reinitiate this class with a different group on January.

Marisela was Baptized-
On July 21st, Marisela (13) was baptized. She is the oldest daughter of Sebastian Garcia. Marisela came to Bammel a year ago from Guatemala and since then, is been involved in activities and classes. We are blessed in having her added to the family at Bammel.

Guest Speakers and Testimonies-
During June and July, we had guest speakers every week. They walked the congregation trought "The Story" doing a great job. During the same time, we included in our worship a time called: "Your Story"- Where members would share how they became christians and how eventually ended up in Bammel. It was very uplifting to hear how God worked on their lives and used our congregation to shape their existence.

Israel-

Baptism in Holy Land-

I am a believer. The doctrine of the resurrection is the milestone of my faith. I had preached and studied many Bible verses and hold 20 Bibles (at least) on my personal library. That is nothing compare with the experience my wife and I had visiting Israel. It seems that the Bible become alive. Finally I did understand many things and get confused in many others that I thought I got under control.

Thanks to Bammel, the Elders and the support of many saints I can say I was baptized again. Yes, the love for the Word grow twice as before and the passion for the Scripture can be compared to the passion a new convert experiences. It is humbling to be part of something like this, is a life changing experience.

Conferences in Cuba-

Time travel is possible!- In Cuba I had the opportunity to witness the 1950's. It seems that time does not run on the Island. It is the perfect field for a message of hope and transformation. The people of Cuba is awakening to a new Gospel (New for them).

During that week I had the blessing to speak on a youth rally. The attendance for the event was 350. Kids from all over the country were selected to participate on this event sponsored by Madison Church in Nashville, Tennessee. A total of 25 Baptisms were celebrated during the event. An atmosphere of joy surrounded every activity during the rally.

Definitively I learn more than I expect and receive more than I anticipate.
